Front Desk Administrator

Maple Leaf Marinas (MLM) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada.  MLM’s marina network comprises 21 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay, Muskoka, and Parry Sound Regions.   

MLM is seeking a Front Desk Administrator to join our growing company.  This is a full-time permanent position that offers competitive pay (based on experience level), health benefits and enrolment in our Group RRSP Plan.  We offer continuous training and skill building opportunities.  

Salary: $ 40,000.00 – $ 45,000.00

Location: Wye Heritage Marine Resort, Midland, ON

Reports to: Office Manager

Position Overview

The Front Desk Administrator is the first point of contact for boaters, members, and guests. This role is responsible for delivering friendly, efficient customer service while supporting daily marina operations, communications, and administrative tasks. A successful candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused waterfront environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet members, guests, and visitors in person, by phone, and by email
  • Provide information on slips, services, amenities, fuel, and marina policies
  • Handle reservations, transient dockage, and general inquiries
  • Resolve customer questions or concerns professionally and promptly

Administrative Duties

  • Assist in maintaining accurate member and vessel records
  • Process invoices, payments, and basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Assist with seasonal documentation
  • Coordinate communication between customers and marina staff
  • Support management with reporting and office organization

Marina Operations Support

  • Communicate daily activity updates with dock and service teams
  • Monitor radio or internal communication systems as required
  • Assist with seasonal launches, haul-outs, and special events
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office
  • All other duties assigned by Manager.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills-
  • Must be able to listen to customers and determine their needs
  • Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and positive attitude
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Proficient with Word, Excel, Email, and POS systems
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Friendly, professional demeanor
  • Comfortable dealing with Cash/Credit Cards and Opening/Closing POS
  • Marina, boating, or hospitality experience considered an asset
  • Ability to work weekends and stat holidays during peak season
