The Opportunity

Maple Leaf Marinas (“MLM”) is the largest owner and operator of marinas, marine resorts, and boat dealerships in Canada.  MLM’s fast growing portfolio comprises 21 locations throughout the Lake Simcoe, Georgian Bay and Muskoka Regions.  

We are seeking TWO Fuel Dock Attendants to join our team at Wye Heritage Marine Resort. This is a Seasonal full-time position with competitive pay.

 

Position Overview:

As a Fuel Dock Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and customer-focused experience at our fueling station. You will play a crucial role in providing fueling services, assisting boaters with their needs, and maintaining a clean and organized fuel dock area.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate fuel pumps and accurately dispense fuel to boats, following safety guidelines.
  • Handle customer inquiries, provide information about fuel prices, and promote additional marina services.
  • Monitor fuel levels and promptly reorder supplies when necessary.
  • Collect payments and process transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized fuel dock, including regular equipment checks and cleanup.
  • Collaborate with the marina team to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Report any issues or concerns to the marina management team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a marine or fueling environment.
  • Basic knowledge of boating and fueling procedures is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and able to lift moderate weights.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
